With SACS as adviser and project manager throughout the process, KPMG is provided with the solution to its fairly complex short- and long-term office requirements.
When setting up business in Denmark, audit and advisory firm KPMG requires office premises in both Copenhagen and Aarhus. KMPG contacts Sadolin & Albæk Corporate Solutions (SACS) to solicit assistance and advice on the project.
SACS soon identifies suitable Aarhus office premises for KPMG and arranges for a lease agreement to be signed. However, in Copenhagen it proves quite difficult to find premises that meet the standards and requirements of KPMG.
SACS therefore plans a strategy involving relocation in two stages. SACS assists KPMG in finding temporary Copenhagen head-office premises and negotiates a fixed-term lease agreement with a renewal option. Meanwhile, SACS initiates a market search for suitable permanent headquarters.
SACS identifies a prospective domicile building on the Copenhagen waterfront in the former free port. If comprehensively renovated, the building may become an up-to-date, flexible and lasting KPMG domicile.
SACS negotiates a long lease on the building and coordinates the entire project, which apart from KPMG involves the landlord, a firm of architects and a developer.
With SACS as adviser and project manager throughout the process, KPMG is provided with the solution to its fairly complex short- and long-term office requirements. In summer 2015, KMPG is scheduled to move into its new Copenhagen headquarters. Before the moving-in date, the premises will be refurbished to meet the specific requirements of KPMG.
